The Excellent Olympic Adventure: 2009 Grinspeil

So yesterday, Beth, Jen, Pam and I participated in the 2009 'Grinspiel'. Basically its a beginner's bonspeil, where people from IBI are encouraged to bring along their friends and co-workers who may have never tried curling before. So, I figured, what better way to get Beth, Jen and Pam a little more involved in curling!? They are gonna be seeing in at its top level in roughly two months!

Although we weren't quite up to the level of the Olympics, I was still really impressed by how well the rookies did! We managed to go 1-1 on the day! Despite our good results, things didn't start out so hot for Beth (vid below!...hehe). Once we got her off a slider and onto a taped foot, things were better.
